Joe has over 21 years of in-house and law firm experience, focusing his practice on patent portfolio development and strategic patent counseling. He has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a wide range of technologies, including digital circuitry, computer architecture, computer systems, server technology, wireless networks, cloud computing, software applications, and Internet-related applications.

Joe also has experience in organizing patent harvesting sessions to procure invention disclosures. Prior to his patent practice, Joe worked for 4 years as an electrical engineer at Advanced Micro Devices.

Joe is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1993, and received his Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University in 2000.
